The level of service for your monitored databases can be set based upon your unique business requirements - Virtual-DBA database specialists have a wide breadth of experience, knowledge, and resources available to share with your staff, or they can simply take care of your databases for you.

All service plans from Virtual-DBA include:

  1. Secure access to the Virtual-DBA client "My Database" web portal for case tracking and metrics reports (when monitoring is performed).
  2. A specified number of hours of Virtual-DBA hands-on™ support per month.
  3. Discounted hourly rates for consulting.
  4. Access to IBM DB2 UDB, IBM Informix, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and database specialists within the specified hourly windows.

Monitoring options include:

  1. Rapid reactions by our DBA staff to monitored parameters exceeding customized Virtual-DBA thresholds, resolving the issues, with the goal of keeping your systems running smoothly.
  2. Collection and analysis by our DBA professionals of availability-related data for your IBM DB2 UDB, IBM Informix, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or database, with urgent notification of possible issues within the specified hourly windows (Your Business Hours or 24x7x365).
  3. Collection and analysis by our DBA professionals of performance related data for your IBM DB2 UDB, IBM Informix, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or database, within the specified hourly windows, with summary status updates at regularly scheduled intervals.
  4. Automatic threshold comparison of certain metrics collected for your IBM DB2 UDB, IBM Informix, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or database.
  5. Collection and scanning of system log files, where applicable.
